DandyLyon Whine Schedule Update

We just wanted to give you an update on our gig schedule.

First up we're playing next Friday at the New Way Bar in Ferndale with The Solar System and Helical Scan. This is DandyLyon Whine's first show at the New Way and we're excited to play this classic venue. Check it out here: http://www.facebook.com/events/531169856923306/?fref=ts

For those of you a little closer to town we're playing Kelly's in Hamtramck the following Friday, march 22. The phenomenal lineup includes us, Phantom Cats, Rouge Satellites and our good friends Pupils. No cover, cheap drinks and good tunes. You can't ask for much more. In a month we are headlining a CDCC showcase at the Berkley Front with the debut performance from The Dirty Tongues! This project has formed out of the ashes of Dinosaur Monster. It picks up where they left off and takes the heaviest bits and makes them bigger and thicker. This is a show that will melt some faces!

We've been working hard to archive our performances for you. Most of the shows are available to listen to from our events page and there are many videos available on the Communist Day Care Center youtube page. Here is our latest show where we played at the Ferndale Public Library as part of their amazing First Stop Friday series. The Day After Labor Day, Sept. 4th, 2012

Once again we find ourselves at the day after labor day, day when summer ends, the day we go back to work. 

DandyLyon Whine has had an eventful year. Last November we were part of CDCC's Nigel Tufnel Day celebration and None More Red tribute album. In early 2012 we welcomed percussionist Justin Velic to the band and in February we released our 2nd full length album Coelacanth to rousing success. I Don't Want To Live Anymore has over 1,100 views on YouTube. We have had the most active summer of our career playing many gigs all to great crowds with phenomenal reception. 

We have many great things planned out for this next year. First things first, we've been writing and we're going to debut a lot of new material in the upcoming months. Those of you that have been to the last handful of shows will have heard a few of these new tunes. 

We are going to be posting a lot more archival material and from behind the scenes. If you check our events page you'll find a complete listing of our previous gigs and we are starting to archive set lists and show audio/video where applicable. Today we'll be posting two live shows, the webcast of most recent show at PJ's Lagerhouse, and the long awaited Coelacanth release show! 

In the next few months we'll be posting "Live Versions" of songs. Many of our songs are very different live than on record. We are going to make high quality studio recordings and videos so you can access these versions any time. Eventually we'll be posting the rehearsal demos of the new material as well. And of course, another album. With any luck this one will take less than two years to put out.

Thank you so much for your continued support. We've had an incredibly successful year because of you. We appreciate every album purchase, download, every show you've gone to, every track listen, every facebook like, every time you've been walking down the street quietly singing "I Don't Want To Live Anymore," all of it. Without you, we are nothing. Thank you.
